October commemorates Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This time is an opportunity for us to remember the lives of babies lost during pregnancy or in infancy. It is also a time for the community to gather as one to provide comfort and support to these babies’ bereaved parents whose pain and grief are insurmountable.

In conjunction with this, theAsianparent rallies for stillbirth awareness in a month-long campaign to mark the first anniversary of our preventable baby loss CSR initiative, Project Sidekicks. Through this initiative, we strive towards educating expectant mothers about the factors that can reduce the risk of stillbirth. We also aim to normalise the conversations around stillbirth to better support grieving parents across Southeast Asia.

To kick-off this month of commemoration, theAsianparent is hosting our first region-wide event. On 12th October 2021, Tuesday, there will be six back to back webinars across Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, starting from 2PM SGT to 7PM SGT. Each webinar boasts an esteemed lineup of keynote speakers and guests who will discuss important topics around pregnancy health and post-pregnancy recovery and support for parents after delivery, miscarriage, or stillbirth.
