theAsianparent and Youvit unveil Malaysia's first-ever Kids Board of Directors
A Malaysian Children's Day event in Kuala Lumpur gave young people a voice in the initiatives built for them, and launched Youvit x theAsianparent Kids Gummies with Vitamin D.

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Nov 2025: In a heartfelt tribute to Malaysian Children's Day, theAsianparent and Youvit joined forces to honour children's wellbeing and amplify their perspectives through a vibrant community event. The celebration spotlighted the launch of Malaysia's first-ever "Kids Board of Directors," empowering young minds to shape future initiatives and fostering a sense of inclusion and joy among families nationwide.
At the core of the event was a commitment to giving children a platform to be heard. The newly formed Malaysian "Kids Board of Directors," composed of five bright, confident children aged between three and eight years old, will represent their peers' views on key issues like wellbeing, daily experiences, and dreams. Through storytelling sessions, interactive activities, and ongoing contributions, these young leaders will influence theAsianparent's programmes, marking a pioneering step in child-centred advocacy.
The Kids Board of Directors: Yeo Xin Hahn, Joe (8), Si Saintis yang Pintar, bringing curiosity and analytical thinking; Sultan Fatih Al Gibran (7), Si Pemimpin yang Berani, guiding discussions with confidence and leadership; Anna Odelia Harpal (4), Si Jurucakap yang Petah, helping voice the perspectives of younger children; Ariel Elisha Harpal (8), Si Pereka yang Kreatif, contributing imaginative ideas and visual creativity; and Maryam Arisha (5), Si Penasihat yang Bijaksana, providing thoughtful insights to support balanced decision-making.
The event brought together families, partners, and media for a day of fun and meaningful discussions. The programme included a Parent Talkshow Session hosted by Kid Board Director Yeo Xin Hahn, Joe, featuring home-grown Malaysian parentpreneurs Jenn Low, CEO & Founder of Wanderlust + Co, and Sinan Ismail, CEO & Founder of Durioo. They explored practical ways to support children's growth, from building emotional resilience to encouraging confidence and kindness.
As part of the festivities, theAsianparent and Youvit introduced the Youvit x theAsianparent Kids Gummies with Vitamin D, an easy way for children to meet their daily Vitamin D requirements, supporting bone health with one gummy a day. According to the South East Asian Nutrition Surveys (SEANUTS) II, 94% of Malaysian children have insufficient Vitamin D intake. Each gummy contains the daily dosage of Vitamin D (600 IU) to support calcium absorption and maintain bone health.
"Our teams, Youvit and theAsianparent, collaborated to develop a unique product, specifically designed and formulated for children. With just one gummy a day, your little one's daily vitamin D intake is met to support bone health and growth," said Wouter van der Kolk, Co-Founder & CEO of Youvit.
The Youvit x theAsianparent Kids Gummies with Vitamin D are available offline exclusively at Watsons stores and on leading online e-commerce platforms across Malaysia.
“We're thrilled to celebrate Malaysian Children's Day by elevating children's perspectives and creating opportunities for them to lead. This Kids Board is more than a symbol. If we want solutions that actually work, we have to ask the people affected. This board gives kids a real seat at the table, not a token high-five once a year.”
